A two days, one night retreat trip to Mt. Kinabalu Lodge I have gone with the cell group on September 10th, 2010. It was the first time a cell group in the church organized an outing like this other than Pelayanan Muda Mudi (PMM) or Pelayanan Ibadah dan Seni (PIS).
The place was called Tinompok Resort before and I think it changed its name just recently. It is a pretty decent place which reminded me of Cameroon Highlands. If you are looking for a cold place to crash for a few days and quite a distance from the main road, then this place is a perfect gateway for you. Just that, you have to share the kitchen with other visitors, which I do not think should be a problem for people that do not have a privacy issue. Even better, the tenants actually offer to prepare meals for you, provided you bring your own ingredients. As simple as that.

Nice places come with challenging routes. It is normal here in Sabah. Good thing that the road to this resort was well covered with cement (not fully actually) although it was pretty steep. I was however still amazed to see our local car like Kancil could reach there.
So we visited a few places both Kundasang and Ranau ( did we actually visited Ranau?). Anyway, we visited National Park and I remember it has been like 3 or 4 years since the last time I went inside. Not much different than few years back and I wonder why is it a must for people to visit National Park when they come to Kundasang?

Then we stopped by this place called Kundasang War Memorial. I am not sure if they built it or it is already there during the World War II. It is a memorial park, so you could expect what is inside. It is a nice place to cam whore take pictures, and I felt like a pro for awhile.

All in all, big thanks to everybody's participation in making this retreat such an unforgettable trip.
